Paola Lenti with Haven wins
the Good Design Award 2009

The sofa Haven for the interiors and the exteriors, designed by Claesson, Koivisto, Rune, has received the Good Design Award, one of the most recognised programs created to award excellence and innovation in the design world.

Haven has been awarded for the innovative choice of materials and the play in contrasts between the rigorous shape and the asymmetry of the seat area. The tubular metal structure is covered with a high-tech self-bearing weave which was developed by Paola Lenti in concjunction with industry experts. This upholstery weave lets light, air and water pass through, contributing to the creation of the lightness and semi-transparent character that makes Haven perfect for outdoor lounging.

The Good Design Award program was founded in 1950 by the Chicago Atheneaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design with the participation of early modernism's most formable designers including Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames. Now in its 59th year, the Good Design Award is one of the most recognized international programs.
